When I was in grade school, I struggled to navigate my school work and advocate for myself because I have ADHD. When I joined the YMCA Apprenticeship, I was given the support and encouragement I needed to continue my college journey. I never thought I would be a teacher, but the experience I have gained while doing my placement hours has made me see that I can make a difference.
